Animation Producer & Director Tim Searle commissioned DWS to provide and operate the comedic marionette puppets for the title sequence of Greg Davis’s hit Channel 4 comedy series Man Down. The team customised toy marionettes which were re-costumed and modified to fit thefunbrief. The shoot included 5 talented marionette performers, the movement Director was Robert Tygner.

“The ‘Man Down‘ title puppet concept came from a conversation with the writer/creator Greg Davies and director Matt Lipsey. I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Darryl before; he is a problem solver par excellence with contagious enthusiasm. Together with an excellent team led by Rob Tyger, we made it happen. The photo heads and clever comp was handled by the superb Shane Barrell. This was a joyful project from start to finish, I think that joy comes across on screen”
